In this article, we inform you about the tax deductibility of your church contribution. You can also deduct a relatively small donation from your tax (under certain conditions).

How do you make your church contribution 100% tax-deductible?

A financial contribution to our parish is tax deductible.
We are an ANBI. ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling. Would you like to deduct your contribution to the parish on your tax return? Then you must exceed a threshold. Your deduction is also limited.

Periodic donations are 100% deductible.

Are you entering into a written agreement with the parish? And will you donate the same amount for at least 5 years? Then your gift to the parish is 100% deductible. You only need to complete a form and send it to the parish. You can find the form here.

What do you have to do?
  • Download the form ‘overeenkomst periodieke gift in geld’ from the website of the tax authorities or from here.
  • Complete the form twice. Enter the following information: Orthodox Kathedraal Sint Nicolaas in Rotterdam. Sign both copies and send both forms to the parish:

Sint Nicolaas Orthodox Kathedraal, Westzeedijk 333, 3015AA, Rotterdam

  • The parish will complete the forms and you will receive one copy.
  • Arrange the transfers at your bank.
  • File a tax return and deduct the donation.
What does it mean for you?

Suppose you donate Euro 200 per year to the parish. With a five-year agreement, you can deduct this amount on your tax return. If you fall into the highest tax rate, you will receive Euro 104 back from the tax authorities. A donation of Euro 200 will ultimately cost you Euro 96. You can calculate your own benefit at https://anbi.nl/calculator/.
